DUNN WITH CANCER
A MOVEMENT OF HOPE
2023 DUNN WITH CANCER: THANK YOU!
On behalf of our Dunn with Cancer Team and the Dunn Family, we are grateful to you for supporting our 4th Annual DWC Run in memory of Allison. Our results, with close to 350 attendees and funds donated from hundreds of people, were far beyond any expectation. We are so thrilled to announce we raised over $250,000 from this year’s event!
Your generosity is making a tangible impacted towards improving the treatment available for those diagnosed with glioblastoma, as this year's event bring our four year total to over $900,000 raised. To see how your donations have made a difference, visit Our Impact below.
At the start of 2020, Allison was living her best life - a 33 year old mother of three young kids who dedicated her work to helping those less fortunate in the Kitchener-Waterloo community, Allison was doing exactly what she was meant to do.
This all changed in February 2020 when Allison was diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. And when 6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatment had minimal impacts on her symptoms, Allison passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2020, 4 months less a day after the tumour was discovered.
The DUNN with Cancer run is for Allison. The DUNN with Cancer run is also for each person who has been or will be impacted by glioblastoma.
The DUNN with Cancer mission is a simple one: We want to live in a world where glioblastoma is treatable and, eventually, curable.
Thanks to our partners at the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, 100% of the donations to the DUNN With Cancer Research Fund will go towards glioblastoma research so that one day we will achieve our goal.
So far, together we have raised $900,000 for brain cancer research, which has already been used to sponsor numerous grants and fellowships. View Our Impact to see how your generosity has been put to use.

We will be back with the fourth annual DUNN with Cancer Run in 2023! After all, Allison would not have stopped after three runs, so we won't either!
We are excited to share that, in partnership with That Dam Hill, the DUNN with Cancer Run will be taking place on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 in Springbank Park, London, ON.
